GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is the practice of optimizing content for generative AI search engines so that the AI picks you as a source and cites you in its answer. While classic SEO fights for a position in a list of links, GEO fights for a mention inside the answer itself.
Why does this matter now? When a user sees an AI summary, they usually no longer click the classic link. Pew Research found in the summer of 2025 that a click happens in only about 8 percent of cases. If you do not make it into AI answers, you lose traffic even if you rank first on Google.
The good news: GEO does not replace SEO, it extends it. What helps is clear structure, a definition sentence right in the intro, direct answers to specific questions (How much does it cost, How do I tell), and structured data. The Princeton team that coined the term in 2023 showed that the right content tweaks raise the chance of a citation by up to 40 percent.
We will help you with a GEO audit of your website and prepare content that AI likes to cite, and not only in English but also in Czech for Seznam and Czech audiences.
